As a daughter of Mexican immigrants with roots at the US/Mexico border, Cristina is fueled by helping People of the Global Majority use their voice and story for their own liberation. Cristina hails from the Southwest side of Chicago, the city that shaped & molded her identity; she is a self described “fronteriza” child and currently resides in Tongva land, also known as Southern California, and originally the ancestral lands of her parents & abuelos. She integrates her lived experience, 20 years of non-profit experience, and ancestral wisdom into all her work. Cristina is the founder of Liberation Leadership, a liberatory based coaching & consulting practice that helps bring consciousness to issues of identity, culture and leadership, highlighting how these impact our social, political & spiritual wellbeing. She has a Bachelor in Business and a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago.
